Jeff spent 24 years working as a CEO and senior executive with national nonprofit organizations in Washington, DC before launching his career as an author, public speaker, and broadcast personality in 2004.
Specializing in an offbeat blend of original humor and practical advice for living a better life and spending less, Jeff was dubbed “The Ultimate Cheapskate” by Matt Lauer on the NBC Today Show, where he appears as a frequent guest and field correspondent.
Jeff is author of the popular book The Ultimate Cheapskate’s Road Map to True Riches (Random House/Broadway Books 2008). His second book is due out summer 2010. In addition to the Today Show, Jeff has appeared on CNN, ABC News, CNBC, FOX News, Planet Green, and local stations across the country. He has also been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, Readers Digest, USA Today, and elsewhere.
